Drowning

My gaze drifted toward the horizon
A thunderstorm heading towards me
Fear flowing through my veins
Terror in my mind
But peace in my heart

I felt so helpless
Yet so calm
As uncertainty hit me like a lightning strike
A sensation of falling sweeping my body
Drowning in a sea of tranquillity
